Premier League club announces the arrival of the Portuguese coach, who replaces Steve Cooper. Contract until 2026
Nottingham Forest announced on Wednesday morning that Nuno Espírito Santo is the club’s new manager.
The 49-year-old succeeds Welshman Steve Cooper as manager of Nottingham Forest, who are currently 17th in the Premier League.
Yesterday, the former FC Porto coach arrived in England to iron out the final details of his contract, which runs until 2026.
Nuno Espirito Santo is making his third coaching appearance on British soil, having managed Wolverhampton between 2017 and 2021, and Tottenham in the first half of the 2021/22 season.
Before taking over at Nottingham Forest, the Portuguese coach was in charge of Saudi side Al-Ittihad.
In the official announcement, the English club points out that the 49-year-old “arrives with a wealth of experience, having managed over 460 games in his career, including in the Premier League, La Liga, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.”
