The 28-year-old left-back suffered an injury during the game against Luton. This absence is a significant loss for Manchester United and could jeopardise their participation in Euro-2024.
Manchester United announced on Wednesday the injury to Luke Shaw. The England player suffered a muscle injury that will keep him out of action for a “prolonged period”.

According to The Athletic, the 28-year-old is expected to be out for up to 12 weeks due to the injury sustained in the win against Luton. This means that Shaw could be out for up to three months and won’t return until May, the last month of the season, making it difficult for him to be called up for Euro-2024.
For Erik ten Hag, it’s a big challenge. Without Shaw for the second time (he didn’t play between August and November 2023), the coach also didn’t have the opportunity to use Tyrell Malacia this season, as he underwent two knee operations. Diogo Dalot ended up being utilised on the left side.
