Reports suggest that Hakimi is considering requesting PSG’s management to allow him to terminate his contract prematurely and depart from the team next summer.
Multiple sports media platforms like Goal and OneFootball have suggested that Achraf Hakimi, the Moroccan international, might make a comeback to his previous team, Real Madrid, to reunite with his close friend Mbappe.
The speculation gained traction following the confirmation of Kylian Mbappe’s transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to the Spanish club earlier this month, sparking what’s being termed as “the Kylian Mbappe effect.” It’s now anticipated that Hakimi could also depart from the French club, following in the footsteps of his teammate and dear friend Mbappe.
However, there are differing opinions on the matter. While some sources suggest that Hakimi is eyeing a departure from PSG in the upcoming summer transfer window, others, like the Spanish newspaper AS, indicated today that the Moroccan player is unlikely to leave the club. AS reported that Hakimi is committed to honoring his contract, which runs until June 2026.
Reports have mentioned Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, showing interest in bringing Hakimi back to Los Blancos earlier this year to bolster the team’s defense.
Mundo Deportivo highlighted Hakimi’s formative years in the Real Madrid academy and his subsequent experiences at Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and PSG, labeling him as an “ideal player” for Madrid.
