Manchester United are fighting for a place in the Champions League, but the fact that rivals Manchester City dealt the blow is secondary, says captain Bruno Fernandes.
The defeat of Manchester United in the derby against Manchester City (3-1) at Etihad Stadium has left the Old Trafford club 11 points behind the fourth-placed team, Aston Villa, who are currently in sixth position.
“Every time we don’t win a game, it’s damaging for this club. We know what this club demands and we want to win the games we’re involved in. Today we didn’t get the three points, but there’s still a long way to go” said the Portuguese midfielder, “We know it’s not all in our hands because the other teams have to drop points, but we have to do our job”.
