PSG is determined to secure the signing of English international Marcus Rashford to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappé’s departure, who has already communicated his exit from the Parisian club at the end of the season, as reported by ‘The Mirror’. According to the English newspaper, the French champions are preparing an offer in the region of €88 million to acquire the Manchester United forward.
This is PSG’s second attempt to sign the 26-year-old forward, who had previously tried to secure his signature in 2022, but the player chose to stay with the Red Devils and had his best season ever with 30 goals in all competitions.
In the current season, Rashford has struggled to replicate the performance of the previous season, scoring only 7 goals in 33 games, and has been involved in some problematic off-field incidents, which have already led to him being sidelined by manager Erik Ten Hag.
The player assured in an interview with ‘The Players Tribune’ that he is committed to Manchester United’s project, however, PSG is convinced that they can take advantage of the current situation of the footballer at the club.
According to the same source, Manchester United would only be willing to negotiate a potential transfer of the player for a fee in the region of €117 million. It is worth noting that Marcus Rashford renewed his contract with the Red Devils until 2028.
