Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana is set to join the Cameroon squad for their Friday match in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) group stage against Senegal, the defending champion. This comes after he resumed training with the team on Wednesday.
Onana was absent from Cameroon’s inaugural match against Ivory Coast on Monday. He was granted permission to stay with Manchester United, participating in their 2-2 draw against Tottenham on Sunday.

Onana in Manchester United
Following the game at Old Trafford, Onana took a chartered plane overnight to Ivory Coast. However, he arrived just hours before the kickoff of the Group C match against Guinea. Despite initially trailing, Cameroon managed to secure a 1-1 draw.
The decision allowing Onana to miss the tournament’s opening match stirred controversy among Cameroonian fans.
