Eerling Haaland (23) is, along with Kylian Mbappé, one of world football’s leading lights. The Norwegian has had a dream campaign. He led Manchester City to the treble crown (FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League), broke the Premier League goalscoring record and came second in the battle for the Ballon d’Or, only beaten by Leo Messi.
While Haaland continues to dazzle, Joan Laporta is planning Barça’s next seasons. For the 2024/25 season, he has already announced that there will be one or two signings. The intention is to maintain the current squad, avoid selling players trained at the club and continue to build on the foundations laid by Xavi over the last three years.
Further ahead, in 2025/26, according to “Mundo Deportivo”, Barça is dreaming of an elite striker. The club is fascinated by Robert Lewnadowski. The Polish striker has become one of the leaders in the locker room and has also rejected a 100 million euro salary offer from Saudi Arabia to remain at Barcelona.
The team, however, is aware of the striker’s age and is interested in signing Erling Haaland in a few years’ time. The remodelling of the Camp Nou will bring more money to the club and, along with City’s possible sanction for financial fair-play, Barça will be hoping to secure the Norwegian’s transfer.
