Morocco has called up Brahim Díaz to the Atlas Lions squad, a milestone confirmed by private sources, with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation finalising the necessary legal and administrative procedures.
The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) officialised the call-up of the Spanish-Moroccan footballer, who currently plays for Real Madrid.
According to the sports website Almountakhab, Díaz received notification of his call-up and personally welcomed the news. The news follows reports in various Spanish sports media suggesting that Díaz was about to make a decision about his international career.
Frustrated by the long wait for a call-up to the Spanish national team, Díaz is set to join the Atlas Lions, whose global standing has improved significantly following their historic achievements at the 2022 World Cup, the reports emphasise.
