A young player from the Mohammed VI Football Academy and U17 international (10 caps, 3 goals) is currently being tracked by Liverpool, the current leader of the Premier League.
Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, who will turn 18 in just over a month (on April 16), caught the eye of the famous English club during the U17 World Cup, as reported by The Daily Mail. It must be said that the central defender had made a strong impression in Indonesia, where the young Moroccans had reached the quarter-finals for the first time in their history, losing to Mali’s Eaglets (1-0), who finished third in this 19th edition of the U17 World Cup.
A complete and physically strong player – standing at 1.90 meters – Ait Boudlal excels particularly in tackling. The British newspaper The Guardian has notably ranked him among the top 60 young talents in the world.
Starting with the youth
Like many other English clubs, Liverpool is trying to recruit young talents, with the goal of gradually integrating them into the first team. If he signs with the Reds, Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal will first have to prove himself with the youth teams of the northwest English club. The Moroccan started his football career at KAC Marrakech (2012-2015), the club of his hometown, before joining the Mohammed VI Academy, where players like Youssef En-Nesyri, Hamza Mendyl, and Abdel Abqar have also passed through.
