On Tuesday, Luis Enrique spoke to journalists ahead of the match against Lorient on the 29th matchday of Ligue 1. During the interview, the Spanish coach praised Portuguese players Nuno Mendes and Gonçalo Ramos.
Starting line-up: “We don’t have a fixed starting line-up. The most important thing for us is not just to win, but how we win. This mentality applies to every game, not just the one against Lorient. We still have eight games to go.”
Nuno Mendes: “He’s an exceptional player in his position. We want to look after him and he’s completely available. His technical and physical abilities are impressive. He can play in different positions, whether in wide or narrow spaces, contributing both to scoring and creating chances.”
Season review: “PSG are considered favourites, but football is unpredictable. Although we had the best squad and budget from the start, winning the league wasn’t guaranteed. It was good to show our superiority. We underestimated Ligue 1 and I was impressed by their physical, technical and tactical level.”
Gonçalo Ramos: “I’m pleased with his contribution, being a young player with experience. Despite his ups and downs, he has responded to the team’s needs.”
