After Paris Saint-Germain’s defeat against Borussia Dortmund, captain Marquinhos commented on the game in an interview with Prime Video.
He highlighted the importance of his crucial save that prevented Dortmund’s second goal, recognising that in Paris the team can perform better and reverse the unfavourable result. Marquinhos also took responsibility for the goal conceded, emphasising the need to be more decisive in front of goal.
For the second leg, the aim is to work during the week to improve, drawing on previous experience in difficult games, as happened in Barcelona. Despite being a young team, Marquinhos believes in the team’s ability to recover.
“My defence was important because they could have made it 2-0, we know we can do much better in Paris. In the second half, we had chances that we can’t afford to waste, but at home we can reverse the result,” said the centre-back.
The French captain then apologised.
“We failed above all in the goal we conceded, in games like this it’s the details that make the difference. We have to be more decisive in front of goal,” he said.
Finally, the objective for the second leg: “We’ll work during the week to do better, like we did in Barcelona, even though we’re a young team, we can recover from this result.”
