Kylian Mbappé, the leader in the Champions League goalscoring charts, showed his determination by scoring twice against Barcelona last night.
“It’s my dream to win the Champions League with PSG and we’ve taken a significant step in that direction against a tough opponent. It’s in our hands now and we’ll do our best to reach the final at Wembley” said Mbappé in the mixed zone after PSG’s 4-1 win over Barcelona.
“It’s an immense pride to wear this shirt, to represent the team from the capital of my country. I grew up here, so to experience memorable nights like this in Paris is indescribable” added Mbappé, who, despite keeping a low profile in the first leg (3-2 defeat), shone in the second leg by scoring twice.
When asked by a Spanish journalist if this victory could influence his decision to leave the club at the end of the season, with Real Madrid showing interest, Mbappé was emphatic in his response, saying a clear “no” before leaving the mixed zone.
